RE: [PeoplewithPVCs] Anesthesia
I like that picture idea. Maybe a surgery patient could write across his/her chest with permanent ink something like "Pretend I'm your mother!" Of course, if the surgeon wasn't too happy with his mom, that might not be good.<smile
Kim.....Lisa is right. PVC's are benign and if anything happens during surgery like extra pvc's...they'll either ignore them because they ARE BENIGN or they'll deal with them. Anesthesiologists know arrhythmias like the back of their hand. You'll be fine. I'm going to add you and your gallbladder to my prayer list (I really mean this) and will ask God to fill that operating room with His angels to watch over you. You're gonna do just fine, Kim. Keep in mind that your heart is HEALTHY and the pvc's are just a variation of normal. I read a newspaper column about 10 years ago written by Dr. Charles Lamb who did a Q&A type of medical column....he was a cardiologist and he said that he was in charge of doing pre-flight ekg's for the original astronaut candidates and they ALL had pvc's. ALL!!!!! So, relax, kiddo.
Hugs,
Suzy
