Anesthesia

Kim & all:
I was under anesthesia just 10 days ago. My MD and my anesthesiologist both
have pvc's. They were not worried about them one little bit. The other thing
to remember is that they will be constantly monitoring you and therefore
would be able to address any issue the moment it arises. Remember pvc's are
not life threatening and nothing needs to be done about them. You may or may
not even get them under anesthesia, and you will be very relaxed most
likely! Speaking from experience, I also had my gall bladder out about 4
years ago. Also no problem with the general anesthesia.

PS: I read this morning an article about heart health (imagine!) and they
showed two columns, one being symptoms of a heart attack and one being NOT
symptoms. "Palpitations" was in the "Not a Symptom" list!
PSS: I had another idea about anesthesia. The gowns or caps or something
(not interfering with the operation, maybe even a little "clip-on" on the
bed) should have a little slot where you could bring and slip in a picture
of your family or loved ones. That way when the whole medical team works on
the patient, they would see the picture and be reminded "Hey, this person
has someone waiting for them, is real, and has a family like ME" and maybe,
just maybe they would treat each patient with that much more care, concern
or compassion... Kim, maybe you should bring along a picture!
